Führung in englischer Sprache
That's the motto of this event, as it takes us back to the frosty cold of Central Europe 30,000 to 15,000 years ago.
At that time, the last ice age had the northern hemisphere in particular firmly in its grip. Around 24,000 years ago, temperatures even fell to a record low - the last cold maximum created an extreme climate.
While Scandinavia and large parts of north-central Europe disappeared under a thick glacier cover, elsewhere flora, fauna and humans defied the mostly adverse conditions.
In this guided tour, we learn about hardy plants such as cloudberry, dwarf birch and mugwort.
We encounter impressive life-size replicas of mammoths, giant deer and mountain hares as well as many other animals of that time.
And how did our ancestors live, clothe and feed themselves during the Ice Age? This question is also to be explored with the help of interesting artefacts vivid reconstructions.
An Ice Age safari for young and old.
